About Me
My Background
My own experience in therapy and curiosity about the relationship between mind and body inspired me to pursue a Masters in Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. After graduation, I worked at the intersection of mental and physical health as a Behavioral Health Consultant at a community medical center. In transitioning to private practice, I was able to focus more specifically on relational, body-based styles of therapy and completed Levels 1 and 2 of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training. Today, I weave somatic work into cognitive and skills-based approaches to provide clients with the best tools to meet their needs. Outside of work, I enjoy being outside and moving my body.
In our sessions…
Let’s be human. You aren’t a diagnosis, a label, or a statistic. All parts of you are welcome.
Let’s collaborate. You are the expert of your experience; let’s center the knowledge and strengths you bring to the room, while I bring evidence-based technique, warmth, and curiosity.
Let’s experiment. Let’s try something new. We won’t stick the landing every time. That’s part of life! Let’s figure out what really works for you.
Let’s laugh. There’s a time to lean into what’s heavy, and a time to lean into what’s absurd and joyful. Let’s make space for both.
